 Owner and CEO Joshua Granger

Joshua grew up in the trades with custom cabinetry and concrete companies as the family business until entering the Marine Corps in 2003 at the age of 23. Joshua served honorably until his discharge in 2008, As a veteran Joshua has worked in ranching, oilfields, and as a butcher while he began planning his dream of building a hunting and camping lodge.

In 2023 Joshua partnered with another Marine Corps combat veteran, Tim Durham, to break ground on Blackhearts Lodge in a small eastern Montana town along the world famous Yellowstone River. Joshua’s determination, vision, and passion for quality craftsmanship made building an outdoor adventure lodge a reality.

Owner and On-Site Operations Manager Tim Durham

Tim was born and raised in Idaho until he left to serve in the US Marine Corps. After serving honorably he left active duty to pursue a bachelor’s degree in hydrogeology from Boise State University. 
 
Upon completing his education, Tim began his career in operations where he played a pivotal role in streamlining processes, optimizing supply chain management, and implementing cost-saving initiatives over the past 15+ years working within various organizations. 
 
Tim was recruited by Joshua Granger to assist in the formation of Blackhearts Lodge and to lead on-site operations. Tim’s commitment to excellence, coupled with his extensive experience in operations management allows him to remain dedicated to driving success, spearheading growth initiatives, and helping Joshua shape the future of Blackhearts Lodge.
